Welcome to MindBalance Mental Health Care!

We are a clinician-founded, locally owned practice providing holistic mental health services in Minneapolis and virtually throughout Minnesota. We offer personalized, culturally responsive therapy rooted in community, accountability, and a deep understanding of the systems that shape our lives.

As immigrant and BIPOC mental health professionals with strong ties to Minneapolis, Merrily and Ana founded MindBalance Mental Health Care to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and lived experience.

Our commitment to equity and representation isn’t just professional.

It’s personal.

We are dedicated to providing a holistic, anti-oppressive practice, which centers culturally responsive therapy and ultimately reflects the diverse communities with whom we share home.

We are not part of a national venture-backed therapy platform.

Every clinical and operational decision made at MindBalance Mental Health Care is guided by care, professional standards, and long-term community investment rather than outside shareholder expectations. We understand the realities of clinical care, ethical responsibility, and sustainable mental health services for Minnesota.

Because we are an independent holistic mental health practice, we are able to:

  • Thoughtfully match therapy participants with therapists whose experience align

  • Invest in ongoing supervision, consultation, and professional development

  • Maintain a collaborative clinical team structure

  • Center equity grounded and anti-oppressive care

  • Stay deeply connected to Minnesota communities

Our Values

Resourced Mental Health Professionals

Exceptional mental health care thrives when mental health professionals are equipped with the resources to operate independently within a supportive community.

Everyone Deserves Dignity and Respect

We affirm the inherent right of every individual to be treated with dignity and respect.

Systemic Impact on Mental Well-being

Recognizing the undeniable impact of systemic oppression and discrimination on physical, mental, and emotional well-being, we acknowledge it as an incontrovertible fact.

Anti-Oppressive Framework

We are committed to ongoing self-examination and the challenging of our biases, power dynamics, and privilege. We pledge to actively make the necessary changes to operate within an anti-oppressive framework.

Meet Our Therapists

Our Minneapolis based team includes licensed therapists, pre-licensed therapists, and graduate interns, each committed to providing anti-oppressive, holistic mental health care.

We are proud to reflect and serve our community, centering BIPOC, LGBTQ, immigrant, adoptee, student, and neurodivergent lives experiences in our work. Whether you are seeking holistic mental health services in Minneapolis or exploring virtual therapy options across Minnesota, we are here to help build something more human, accountable, and aligned with your values.
