During this call, we will:Learn more about what you are hoping to get support withAnswer questions about therapy, scheduling, and next stepsReview insurance and payment optionsDiscuss therapists who may be a good matchThis is not therapy and there is no clinical assessment during the phone call.

Our individual consultation call is a chance for us to learn what you're looking for in therapy and in a therapist. During the call, we'll also go over insurance, the cost of therapy, our therapy programs, and our therapists. We're also take this opportunity to answer any questions you may have.This phone call is with a member of our consultation team. They'll help you figure out whether our practice is a good fit for your needs, based on factors like your insurance, cost, service eligibility, and therapist availability.A consultation team member will either schedule your first appointment and set you up in our client portal, or share referral information for other options if we aren't the right fit.

Before you meet with a therapist, there are a few practical details to sort out, like whether we're in network with your insurance, which therapy programs you qualify for, and whose schedule works with yours. Our consultation team is best equipped to help with these questions. Starting with them saves you time and effort because you'll know right away whether you can work with the therapist you have in mind.If a short "vibe check" call with the therapist you are interested in working with still feels important to you, we're happy to discuss that option during your consultation call. Just keep in mind that this may delay starting therapy. Our therapists have limited time for these calls, so scheduling one may delay your first appointment.In most cases, a vibe check call may not be needed. Our consultation team knows our therapists well and can share much of what you might want to know to help you choose. Finding the right fit also depends on more than a therapist's bio. It also comes down to whether your schedule lines up with theirs, and our consultation team can help you sort that out right away so you can get started sooner.

If during the consultation call, you decide you want to schedule an intake session, we will get you scheduled and set up in our electronic medical record (EMR) system called TherapyPortal (sometimes referred to as TherapyNotes).TherapyPortal is a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform used for:Sending and filling out paperworkCommunication between you and your therapistReaching our Operations team with administrative or billing questionsMaking paymentsLogging in for telehealth sessionsOnce you have your account in TherapyPortal, there will be about 30 minutes worth of paperwork to fill out. All paperwork must be completed at least 24 hours after your consultation call to ensure the therapist has time to review everything.
