Group Support
This free 8-week virtual drop-in support group is open to Minnesota-based post-secondary students. This group is open for Minnesota-based post-secondary students—centering BIPOC experiences and offering space to manage stress, connect, and build community. It is open to all who align with and respect this focus. Each week, we’ll gather for support, reflection, and shared community as we navigate these experiences together. There is no commitment necessary for this group: participants may choose to join as many or as little groups as they wish, without any obligation or expectation to return.
Participants can expect a supportive space to share their stories and experiences as BIPOC post-secondary students, connect with peers, and receive guidance from a graduate-level counselor. The group will offer affirmation, resources, and practical stress-management tools, including mindfulness techniques. Participants will also have time to identify personal stressors, reflect on their current well-being, and gain perspective and coping strategies from others in the group.
Who This Group is Not For
While this group is open to all eligible post-secondary students, it is intentionally designed to center the lived experiences of BIPOC post-secondary students navigating stress, anxiety, and belonging within school and life settings.
Are seeking individual counseling or intensive clinical support, such as treatment for trauma, complex mental health conditions, or diagnosis-specific care
Prefer not to engage in open-format discussions or are uncomfortable with group conversations.
Are not open to having their camera and/or mic on at some point during the group (e.g., for check-ins or building connection); our goal is to create a trusting and interactive space
