Clinical Supervisor and Training Coordinator
MindBalance Mental Health Care is a culturally responsive, anti-oppressive mental health practice in Minneapolis committed to expanding access to mental health care and strengthening the mental health workforce in Minnesota. We are hiring a Clinical Supervisor and Training Coordinator to join our small, collaborative team and work closely with our co-founders to grow and shape our clinical training and supervision program.
The role is a strong fit for a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) who is a Board-approved clinical supervisor with the Minnesota Board of Social Work and is ready to move into a leadership role, without disconnecting from the clinical work they love. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys providing therapy and is excited to grow their supervision skills and leadership experience in a supported, mission-driven environment.
In this position, you will provide clinical supervision to master 's-level interns and associate therapists, oversee our clinical trainee program, deliver internal trainings, and support outreach and access to care initiatives -all with a role partially funded through the Minnesota Department of Human Services Cultural and Ethnic Minority Infrastructure Grant (CEMIG). You will also maintain a caseload of approximately 10-12 direct clinical care hours per week.
The position is responsible for ensuring high-quality, culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, and anti racist supervision and training while increasing access to care and supporting pathways to licensure for trainees and supervisees from historically underrepresented communities.
The Interview Process
We believe the interview process should be transparent and respectful of your time. Selected candidates will move through a two-stage interview:
Stage 1
A conversation with the co-founders of MindBalance Mental Health Care to discuss the role, the practice, your background, experience, and goals. Interview questions will be shared with you in advance so you have an opportunity to prepare. If the co-founders would like to continue the process, you will be invited to move to Stage 2.
Stage 2
A meeting with the broader MindBalance Mental Health Care team, where you will have the opportunity to share your supervision approach, answer team members' questions, and get to know the people you would potentially be working alongside. Questions for this conversation will also be shared with you ahead of time. Team member input from this conversation is an important part of the process and will be thoughtfully factored into the co-founder's hiring decision.
We are grateful to everyone who takes the time to apply. We are unable to send individual notifications to applicants who are not selected to move forward. If we would like to learn more about you, we will reach out directly to you to schedule a Stage 1 interview.
We welcome ALL individuals, and encourage those who identify as part of diverse communities, including Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+2S, adoptees, and first/second-generation immigrants to apply.
