Taking the first step to change and healing is often the hardest, but you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. I am here to accompany you on this process.
My Story
My journey as an immigrant — transcending different countries, cultures, and the challenges of being undocumented — taught me the raw reality of feeling like an outsider. Because I have lived this struggle, I am deeply committed to working with immigrant populations and marginalized communities facing personal and systemic trauma.
I have training and experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and life transition using social justice and cultural mindfulness. I consider my theoretical approach to be eclectic in that I utilize a variety of approaches to meet the individual needs of my clients, including, but not limited to, cognitive behavior therapy, narrative exposure therapy, EMDR, trauma systems, internal family systems, attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy and experiential techniques including mindfulness and awareness strategies.
My Approach to Therapy
My approach centers on identifying and amplifying the strengths you already possess. I believe we all need support to honor our inner voice and cultivate self-acceptance. Together, we will create a safe, courageous space to explore your journey of self-discovery, fostering a collaborative, challenging, and deeply compassionate partnership.
Together, we will explore how past experiences and family dynamics have shaped your present, fostering deeper self-awareness and healing. I am here to help you navigate challenging memories and current life stressors, equipping you with the clarity and confidence to build the life you deserve.
