My approach to therapy is person-centered, authentic, and collaborative. I integrate systems theory to help couples, individuals, and families navigate life stressors and complex relationships. I built my approach because I know that all people have their strengths and resilience that needs to be illuminated because I have lived in a variety of settings with all kinds of different people/cultures. I also know how important relationships are and how they impact us.

I am conscientious of the impact that racism and oppression in the U.S. and beyond can have on individual and relationships. I incorporate liberation as a lens for healing ourselves and each other.

I often work with couples that are dealing with conflicts related to loss of connection and intimacy, communication problems, navigating cultural expectations, affairs, loss of trust, finances, life transitions, grief and loss. I also am passionate about working with individuals navigating phase of life transitions, relational difficulties, depression, anxiety, bipolar, and attachment issues.

I often use collaborative approach, solution-focused techniques, and emotionally focused therapy. I have trauma-informed lens, and relational systems lenses that I incorporate with clients.

I hope they will feel trust toward me, and respected as individual people.

I understand the difficulty in opening up to someone and trusting a professional, so I want to assure clients that I will always work alongside you in partnership.

My family is originally from Zacatecas, Mexico. It is a beautiful state that fosters resilience in and connection to our community. As a therapist I hope to help my clients reconnect to their own communities and deepen their relationships to each other.

I enjoy hosting evenings with friends, reading sci-fi/fantasy books, cooking, and walking with my dog. I also love doing my skincare and sleep hygiene routine every night as a form of self-care.
